At Strathcona Summit Solutions, we’re partners in life and business—Joel Macmillan and Amanda Warren—bringing a unique blend of craftsmanship, hospitality experience, and deep local knowledge to the Mt Washington community. Joel, originally from Edmonton, and Amanda, from Nanaimo, both found their way to Edmonton in the early years of our relationship, where we launched our first renovation company specializing in ground-level and walk-out decks for new home builds.

After several successful seasons, we followed a shared passion for wilderness and adventure, spending over eight years working as wilderness guides at a remote luxury lodge on the BC coast—an experience that deeply shaped our approach to service and hospitality. During our time there, we learned what it means to deliver exceptional guest experiences with precision, professionalism, and care. As our roles evolved, Joel became the Marine Operations Manager while Amanda served as Lead Guide before stepping into the position of Guest Services Manager. When we made the decision to leave lodge life, we chose to plant our roots on Mt Washington—bringing with us the high standards, strong work ethic, and deep appreciation for wild, remote places.

Our focus today is to build Strathcona Summit Solutions around those same commitments to quality and service. We offer high-quality residential renovations—focusing on basement additions, bathroom remodels, and exterior upgrades—alongside professional cleaning services tailored to the unique needs of short-term rental properties on the mountain.

With a strong foundation in luxury hospitality and hands-on trades, our mission is to raise the standard of service on Mount Washington and support the vibrant community we’re proud to be part of. From thoughtful renovations to reliable turnover cleans, we help homeowners protect their investments, impress their guests, and enjoy peace of mind—season after season.
